"The Fundamentals" were a theological series written by a couple of California millionaires several decades back. People who believe that the Bible is infallible and the only valid source of wisdom or enlightenment humans need (even at the expense of science, history, or philosophical thought along other lines) are in line with the Fundamentals.

And that is why they're fundamentalists. If these people believe that contrary to science, contrary to historical precedent and contrary to the philosophy this nation was built upon we need to protect women from their own soft womanjudgment... they are fundamentalists because they are placing the Bible above all other sources of information. They're fundamentalists because the Fundamentals were real texts. Get it?
