Excellent.

I and a couple of colleagues met a guy the other day who made a racist joke. We just looked at him as if we didn't get it and he started digging himself in deeper and deeper. We kept looking at him. Then he said, "Have I said something that's not very PC?" (As if he didn't know!). "Little bit", we said and then he started apologizing. We didn't plan to do this, it just kind of happened, but he ended up pretty embarrassed and hopefully will think twice in future.

I really don't like ANY observational comedy about identity. It's just.. shit. It's stupid, it's predictable, and it's so very, very tired. And comedians who do it seem to so often think they're "edgy", like being a mindless prejudiced jackass makes them somehow bold and manly and admirable. Because that's one of the things that pisses me off most about prejudice. So often, including with such alleged "humour", it's not that people have come to stupid conclusions about groups of people but they're just thoughtlessly regurgitating things without actually thinking about what they're saying whatsoever. People not thinking about things pisses me off even more than people thinking about things and coming to stupid or horrible conclusions.

Great advice! I've actually done this once. The results were predictable, but fairly amusing, ending with the person stammering all around saying "It's funny because women are stupid".
