Hope. Community. My kids, and thinking about what kind of a world I want them to have (and what kind of an example I want to set for them in making it). It's not magic; I get burned out too. Every few months I need to take a vacation from activism, and I unsubscribe to all political email, stop reading Facebook, and just don't let myself think about any of it for a while. Eventually, I start reading again, and then doing online actions, and that makes the email creep back in because I don't bother to unclick the subscribe button, but by that time I'm generally able to cope with it again, and that's when I start going back again to the in-person activist stuff.
