Although that said, I seem to remember the difference has been found fairly consistently and is quite marked, with something like a 4:1 ratio of men:women with IQs under 60 and over 140.

But if it is bullshit created in the lab, it wouldn't surprise me: I also know of one other major IQ study, a meta-analysis, which was roundly criticised for only using studies which gave an IQ lead for men to form the overall result.
