*** MAY CONTAIN 5TH BOOK SPOILERS***

ALSO I get the feeling that with all George RR Martin's ingenuity with tormenting his characters, the only misery he can think of for women is sexual violence just over and over and over.

Not really.

Breynne - Had to deal with sexual violence perhaps once or twice. Most of the violence she dealt with was pure and physical. She gets into fights, brawls, half her face gets chewed off.

Caitlyn - The only two men sexually interested in her are her husband, and the guy who's been in love with her since they were kids. She face no sexual violence.

Arya - Even after she stops pretending to be a boy (for obvious reasons), she's not threatened in sexual manners.

There are many more examples that I'll be glad to type out in case of need.

But all of these are not to say sexual or sexual-related torment doesn't exist in GRR Martin's world. It' always there, looming, part of the backstories, mentioned in by the way kind of facts, almost like the air the characters breathe. But it' far from being the only or even the main form of torture he has in store for female characters.
