If you don't believe that we need history texts (because we have the Bible!) or physics/biology/geology texts (because we have the Bible!) or philosophy (because we have the Bible!), odds are if you're not a fundamentalist Christian you're very close.
And if you read the entry I linked, you will understand why I placed "traditional" in quotes when speaking of the marriage norm that backward-thinking Christians refer to as the only right and proper Biblical marriage. But I suppose you either missed that, or you're having so much fun being the persecuted underdog that you can't acknowledge that perhaps I have some education in this.
The Bible (for the most part) does idealize a certain kind of woman. Paul in particular was forward-thinking about a woman's role in society and in her faith, but thanks to the versification and chapterization of his letters his point has been all but lost on conservative Christians who only know what they're told about the Bible. In short: Paul taught that women can do things like prophecy and be active outside the home (despite verses added later and attributed to him about women shutting up in church), but just as Christianity contains teachings and practices that were not in the Bible, practices and teachings in the Bible do not always show up in Christianity.
