You know what I ate today? Catnip. I picked it and ate it.

It's good.

Yesterday while we were excavating we found part of a deer bone that had been discarded. I was told that we weren't going to keep it since we didn't have context information for it. So, I sat next to it for about half an hour before I finally put it in my mouth and bit down on it a little. The people helping me out stared at me. I told them I wanted to know if it still tasted good. It didn't. They laughed, and we moved on with our day.

An hour later, I picked it up again and took a little nibble off of it. I figured that last time I may not have gotten the full experience of the deer bone. So this time I ate a little bit.

Still didn't taste good. It didn't taste bad. Just kind of gritty.

So, long story short, yesterday I shared a meal with someone who died several hundred years ago.
