Jan. 4th, 2006 08:46 pmSummary for people who haven't been keeping up on the nonsense brewing at my house.
Turns out that for a while now some vagrant has been sleeping there at night. He jumps the fence, walks past my bedroom door, and goes through the garage into our pumproom, which is nice and warm due to a furnace and water heater. He sleeps ten feet away from me, or has been doing so at least.
Yes, the police are aware of this.
We called them over to look through things during the day. If I hear him again tonight, I'm calling them. At least I have a phone out there now. I didn't before. I don't think my parents were taking me seriously at first. That is, until my mother and I went to the mall the other day. We came back and the garage door had been locked from the patio side. We didn't leave it that way, or else we wouldn't have been able to get into the garage in the first place. We wouldn't have been able to leave, which means it was locked after we left. The pumproom was unlocked, and the light was now off.
When I went out to my room the night before, my mother noticed that the pump room light was on and assumed Mitch had left it that way after I told him what I heard and he checked through there. This means that he was out there in the room next to me when I retired that night. He was also there when I left the next morning and decided to leave after we went to go shopping. He was there the whole time.
At 12.5 last night, right after I got out of the shower, I heard him again. I heard his feet hit the patio after climbing the fence, and a few fast, confident steps before he got near the sensor light and began to sneak. I heard the garage door swing open, and his footsteps on the wooden stairs to walk down into the garage. He tried to open the door and it touched the bumper of the car. He seemed to give up after that and left more or less the way he came. I think.
So, blah. This has been copy-pasted more or less entirely from previous, more secure, journal entries, but I thought people would want to know. Let me know if I missed anything.
