Apparently LJ has made a deal to integrate more with Facebook, which is probably why they're not going to actually remove this feature. It's possible that they'll tweak the whole "locked posts" thing, but yeah. Someone evidently found this by translating a Russian news article, and not because Livejournal actually said anything.
I've been resisting joining the "omg Livejournal are sellouts" crowd, but I would like to repeat that I have Dreamwidth codes for anybody who wants them. The more of us there are over there, the easier it is for everybody to go someplace less ridiculous.
On that subject, does anybody who uses DW know if I can set up a feed on my DW reading list to continue watching communities here?
