There are evidently no SR RP forums other than Dumpshock. This is crazy! Why is this the case!?

Anybody know of one that I've just... not managed to find? I can't start another board for this; I have my Star Wars board that needs to be put first. I'm just a little surprised that there seems to be nothing out there.

Dumpshock is the only one, because it's that good.

Actually, there are a few other small ones. I can't think what they are, offhand. Many are based in Europe. And it seems like the company just opened their own.

Yeah, except that I don't like the core Matrix rules, and Dumpshock kind of hates the guy who wrote the ones I use. I guess maybe I could run my own game using Trollman's Matrix writeup, but if I felt comfortable leaping into GMing, then I'd just do that and pick up where my current GM left off. =/

I'll look at it, but a big catch for me is that I don't want to ever have to look at the core Matrix rules as long as I live. Trollman's writeup on The Gaming Den is better.

Oh, hey! There's a discussion page about these rules! (http://shadowrunonline.forumotion.com/questions-and-answers-f23/the-ends-of-the-matrix-t268.htm) Sadly, almost the whole thread is a diversion from the main point of the writeup, which means that I didn't get much of a sense for how the community would respond to them being used.

But hey! It means that these rules are better-known than I realized at first. The guy who wrote them actually got banned from the official Dumpshock board for suggesting that the Matrix rules were bad and needed to be rewritten, and then subsequently actually doing it. I'm glad that the response at this place wasn't instant hostility.

Troll from a Buddhist community. Fortunately, I've never made any bones about the fact that my personal journal is a moderated space. I wouldn't let him come in my house and smear shit on the walls, so I won't be letting this fool come in and bother the people who know how to behave.
