Glasses do funny things in car accidents. I was hit while on foot in '03, glasses on my face. Afterwards, the glasses (and sunglasses clip-ons) were sitting neatly on the ground (arms still extended), as if I had merely taken them off and placed them precisely on that spot, clip-ons sitting in front of them. Not a single scratch on either item.
